So which voice do you listen to?

The tale of the Tower of Babel which began as a project of a united humanity in an attempt to reach heaven and ended in its destruction as God imposed the confusion on tongues on its people, is an interesting metaphor for the sometimes confusing wrestle we have with our decisions.

Most people are not so self assured or confident about life and their decisions to not at times waver or wonder about whether or not they have made the right decision about many things. We spend a lot of time listening to the tower of babel in our heads with it’s myriad of accents and offers of advice. Some are louder than others, some yell in the voices of other people, others speak in our own voice but from different times of our lives. Sometimes it is the quiet ones we should listen to, rather than the raucous, or the voice of reason rather than the angry man, and sometimes we should listen to the heart rather than the mind.

The question is though, which one do we listen to? I don’t have the answer to that yet.
